Junior All Inclusive

Package will include a private counselor who will work one-on-one with the student beginning in the summer of their sophomore year.
Assessment - Starts with a full assessment of the student including the student's grades, transcripts, course curriculum, extracurricular activities, community service, writing skills, achievements, standardized test scores and what the student is looking for in a college/university.
Curriculum Planning (11/12th grade) - The counselor will provide a complete overview of the course curriculum for the next two years of high school including AP courses and extracurricular activities the student should participate in. Counselors also recommend relevant college level courses the student can take to further their chances for acceptance into the best colleges, as well as to familiarize the student with college level work.
Exploring Careers - Counselor helps student explore potential career paths and universities that offer programs catered to specific career interests. If desired, counselor helps student shadow a professional in a field of interest.
Resume - The counselor helps the student put together a formal resume highlighting activities, achievements and work experience. Together, the counselor and the student form a plan to further develop the resume throughout the year.
Time Management - The counselor teaches the student essential time management and organization techniques. There is also a focus on improving studying skills. A timeline for the coming year is developed as well.
Internship - The counselor will work to get internships and/or work opportunities that may improve college admission chances. The counselor seeks out highly unique internships and experiences that ensure the student's ability to stand out. Internships and academic programs for summers are also discussed.
Extracurricular Activities - The counselor provides specific advice on the types of activities to get involved with to make the student perfectly well-rounded. The significance of community service opportunities is stressed as the counselor helps the student understand its importance and obtain a unique community service position.
Best-Fit Analysis - Through careful analysis of the student and college profiles, the counselor develops a list of best-fit school based on the individual student's desires, needs and personality. The Counselor then works with the student to narrow down the top choices, and set up tours for some colleges. The student will be given a checklist of things to look for and ask about in order to maximize the tour and interview. Also, the counselor ensures that the students understands the specific admission requirements for each school, along with each school's unique culture.
Campus Visit - The counselor takes the student to a nearby university familiarize the student with a college campus and promote excitement. The student will be given a checklist of things to look for and ask about in order to maximize the tour.
Letters of Recommendation: The counselor instructs students on how to develop close relationships with teachers, and plan ahead for the letters of recommendation. By starting early, the students will be able to obtain highly effective letters of recommendation from diverse sources.
Financial Planning - Includes financial planning to help student/parent understand the cost of potential schools and what financial aid options are available.
Scholarships advising - Counselors recommend ways for students to attain scholarships, and provide assistance to ensure that students develop competitive scholarship applications and essays.
SAT/ACT Test Prep - A PSAT is taken to familiarize the student with the test, and assess needs. A specialized tutor provides the student with 16 hours of test preparation classes. In addition, the counselor provides unique exercises to prepare the student for standardized tests. General test taking skills are improved such as speed reading, reading comprehension, mental focus, logic, and vocabulary development are also improved.
Public Speaking - The student is taught public speaking skills and prepared for professional interviews. The counselor works with the student to reach a level of eloquence sure to impress interviewers for internships and colleges.
Personal Statements - Effective personal statement writing techniques are introduced. The counselor takes the student through an in depth analysis of myriad personal statements to help the student understand what colleges want. The student is assigned a mock personal statement to complete with the counselor's help.
